Terms and Conditions
The following Terms and Conditions apply to all transactions on The Beauty Box website. Please ensure that you read them carefully. By placing an order on this website you agree to abide by these terms and conditions.
All product prices are listed in Great British Pounds (£) sterling. Prices with an RRP (Recommended Retail Price) refer to prices the manufacturer recommends goods are sold at in the UK. Where a manufacturer's RRP is not readily available then this is a guideline price, which is based on how much other retailers within the UK are selling the same product. We reserve the right to change any advertised price before accepting an order. All products are subject to availability and may be withdrawn at any time. If your order cannot be fulfilled you may be offered an alternative or given a refund for the unavailable product(s).
We guarantee that all advertised products are 100% genuine and are purchased from reputable UK companies. We hold trade accounts with all of the brands that we stock.
We are able to accept orders from customers in the UK, the European Union, all EU member countries (except Germany), USA, Canada, and Australia. Please be aware that due to our gift vouchers only being valid for use in our salons that care must be taken to understand this if purchasing from outside the UK. All orders are despatched with 2-3 working days of receipt. Orders received over the weekend or Bank Holidays will be processed on the next working day.
The following process will create a contract of sale between you and The Beauty Box Shop:
1. You place an order for your products on The Beauty Box website by pressing the submit button at the end of the checkout process.
2. After you have submitted your order you will be sent an automated e-mail confirming receipt of your order with The Beauty Box. This is not a formal acceptance from The Beauty Box. We reserve the right to decline any order.
3. Order acceptance and the completion of the contract between you and The Beauty Box will take place once we despatch the products ordered unless we have notified you that we do not accept your order or you have cancelled it.
Non-acceptance of an order may occur as a result of one of the following reasons:
‧ The product(s) you ordered being unavailable from stock.
‧ We have reason to suspect the authenticity of the order placed.
‧ An order is received from a country we cannot ship to.
Any contract between us, whether for use of the site or in relation to the purchase of products or services through the site, will be governed by the laws of England and Wales and all parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts. Any contract will be communicated in English.
We accept payment by all major credit and debit cards. This is a secure link between yourself and your card issuer and The Beauty Box does not have access to any of your card details.
In accordance with the EU Distance Selling Directive you have the right to cancel any order from the time you place the order to within seven working days from delivery (starting the day after you receive the goods). This is to provide you with a "cooling off period" should you have changed your mind. The goods must be returned unused, unopened and in the same condition as they were when originally despatched by The Beauty Box. We will not accept for exchange or refund any item which has been used, opened or is not in the exact condition in which it was despatched by us. If you wish to cancel an order then please contact us via email. If your order has not yet been despatched then we will cancel your order from our system and issue a refund immediately. If your order has already been despatched you will need to take delivery of the goods and then your order cancellation will be dealt with in accordance with our Returns Policy. These conditions do not affect your statutory rights.
Damaged or Faulty Goods
We want you to be 100% satisfied with your purchase. In the unlikely event that any item you receive is damaged or faulty then please follow the Returns Policy stated below for a full replacement or refund.
At The Beauty Box we want you to be delighted every time you shop with us. Occasionally though, we know you may want to return items.
To return an item you must contact us by email to confirm which item(s) are being returned stating your order reference and the reason for return. You are requested to return the goods by second class post. We also suggest sending via registered or insured post, so the parcel can be traced. Please ensure that items are packed securely to prevent any damage in transit. Any free gifts associated with an item must also be returned at the same time. Please return the item(s) to our registered address along with the original packing note and the reason for return. Refunds will be processed within 7 days of receipt of the returned goods. If you are returning the item(s) because you have changed your mind we will refund the cost of the goods only. There will be no refund for the original shipping costs of the goods from The Beauty Box to you or the cost to yourself of shipping the goods back to The Beauty Box. Where the original order qualified for Free Shipping then we reserve the right to recover our original shipping costs to you up to a maximum of £10.00.
If you are returning the item(s) because they are damaged or faulty then the refund shall be for the goods and all shipping costs which will include a re-imbursement to you for the cost of returning the goods to The Beauty Box. If you have ordered the wrong product, then you can still return for a full refund, but please note that the items must be unopened and unused and you will have to pay postage costs.
We'll gladly accept returns for any Dermalogica products purchased and will issue a full refund upon receiving your items within 30 days of the PURCHASE date. Should you have a skin response to your product please also contact our customer service team as soon as possible. All returns must be pre-approved by The Beauty Box Shop Ltd. Please contact The Beauty Box Shop Ltd within 48 hours should you have any discrepancies with your order.
Our Terms and Conditions do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.
Sales on this web site are governed by English law and you agree to submit any dispute to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts. All orders are subject to these terms and conditions, and no amendments will be accepted by us.
We take your privacy seriously and are committed to protecting and respecting your privacy. This includes any enquiries you make about our goods and/ or services, current orders or employment vacancies whether that communication is made face-to-face, via post, via telephone, via email, via the website or any other electronic means, in each case you will be asked to confirm whether you accept and consent to the practices described in this policy.

Identity Data includes first name, maiden name, last name, username or similar identifier, marital status, title, date of birth and gender.
Contact Data includes billing address, delivery address, email address and telephone numbers.
Financial Data includes bank account and payment card details.
Transaction Data includes details about payments to and from you and other details of products and services you have purchased from us.
Technical Data includes internet protocol (IP) address, your login data, browser type and version, time zone setting and location, browser plug-in types and versions, operating system and platform and other technology on the devices you use to access our website.

Marketing and Communications Data includes your preferences in receiving marketing from us and our third parties and your communication preferences.

We also collect, use and share Aggregated Data such as statistical or demographic data for any purpose. Aggregated Data may be derived from your personal data but is not considered personal data in law as this data does not directly or indirectly reveal your identity. For example, we may aggregate your Usage Data to calculate the percentage of users accessing a specific website feature. However, if we combine or connect Aggregated Data with your personal data so that it can directly or indirectly identify you, we treat the combined data as personal data which will be used in accordance with this privacy notice.
We do not collect any Special Categories of Personal Data about you (this includes details about your race or ethnicity, religious or philosophical beliefs, sex life, sexual orientation, political opinions, trade union membership, information about your health and genetic and biometric data). Nor do we collect any information about criminal convictions and offences.
Our website is not intended for children and we do not knowingly collect data relating to children.
If you fail to provide personal data
Where we need to collect personal data by law, or under the terms of a contract we have with you and you fail to provide that data when requested, we may not be able to perform the contract we have or are trying to enter into with you (for example, to provide you with goods or services). In this case, we may have to cancel an order for a product or service you have with us but we will notify you if this is the case at the time. We will also not be able to process any employment application or enquiry.
4. How is your personal data collected?

5. How we use your personal data
We will only use your personal data when the law allows us to. Most commonly, we will use your personal data in the following circumstances:
Where we need to perform the contract we are about to enter into or have entered into with you in order to provide the goods and/ or services.
Where it is necessary for our legitimate interests (or those of a third party) and your interests and fundamental rights do not override those interests.

Note that we may process your personal data for more than one lawful ground depending on the specific purpose for which we are using your data. We strive to provide you with choices regarding certain personal data uses, particularly around marketing and advertising.
Promotional offers from us
We may use your Identity, Contact, Technical, Usage and Profile Data to form a view on what we think you may want or need, or what may be of interest to you. This is how we decide which products, services and offers may be relevant for you (we call this marketing).

Any supplier or external party as arranged on our or your behalf, including where this is necessary to provide you with products and /or services; and
Any third party if disclosure to them is required by law or any regulatory authority or if required to protect the rights, property, or safety of The Beauty Box Shop Limited, our customers, or others. This includes exchanging information with other companies and organisations for the purposes of fraud protection and credit risk reduction.
We require all third parties to respect the security of your personal data and to treat it in accordance with the law. We do not transfer your personal data outside the European Economic Area (EEA).
12. Data security
We have put in place appropriate security measures to prevent your personal data from being accidentally lost, used or accessed in an unauthorised way, altered or disclosed. In addition, we limit access to your personal data to those employees, agents, contractors and other third parties who have a business need to know. They will only process your personal data on our instructions and they are subject to a duty of confidentiality.
Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure and when you submit details via our website or email you are transmitting your information via the internet. Although we will do our best to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to our website or via email to us; any transmission is at your own risk. Once we have received your information, we will use strict procedures and security features to try to prevent unauthorised access.
We have put in place procedures to deal with any suspected personal data breach and will notify you and any applicable regulator of a breach where we are legally required to do so.
13. How long will you use my personal data for?
We will only retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes we collected it for, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements.
To determine the appropriate retention period for personal data, we consider the amount, nature, and sensitivity of the personal data, the potential risk of harm from unauthorised use or disclosure of your personal data, the purposes for which we process your personal data and whether we can achieve those purposes through other means, and the applicable legal requirements.
By law we have to keep basic information about our customers (including Contact, Identity, Financial and Transaction Data) for seven years after they cease being customers for tax purposes.
In some circumstances you can ask us to delete your data, see paragraph 20 below under the heading “Request erasure” for further information.
In some circumstances we may anonymise your personal data (so that it can no longer be associated with you) for research or statistical purposes in which case we may use this information indefinitely without further notice to you.

No fee usually required
You will not have to pay a fee to access your personal data (or to exercise any of the other rights). However, we may charge a reasonable fee if your request is clearly unfounded, repetitive or excessive. Alternatively, we may refuse to comply with your request in these circumstances.
What we may need from you
We may need to request specific information from you to help us confirm your identity and ensure your right to access your personal data (or to exercise any of your other rights). 20. Your Legal Rights

While all precautions have been undertaken to ensure only genuine downloads are available users are advised to verify their authenticity using third party anti-virus software or similar applications. Contact & Communication With Us
Users contacting us through this website do so at their own discretion and provide any such personal details requested at their own risk. Email Mailing List & Marketing Messages
We operate an email mailing list program, used to inform subscribers about products, services and/or news we supply/publish. Any new clients to our business will not be automatically opted in for any kind of marketing. Any existing customers may have been opted in automatically under previous privacy laws. If you wish to be unsubscribed from any kind of marketing lists then please inform us via phone, email or by clicking unsubscribe in the emails themselves. We will send you appointment reminders via email and/or text message to inform you of appointments you have made with ourselves. These are deemed necessary to us as a business operation.

We adopt a Social Media Policy to ensure our business and our staff conduct themselves accordingly online. While we may have official profiles on social media platforms, users are advised to verify authenticity of such profiles before engaging with or sharing information with such profiles. We will never ask for user passwords or personal details on social media platforms. Users are advised to conduct themselves appropriately when engaging with us on social media. There may be instances where our website features social sharing buttons, which help share web content directly from web pages to the respective social media platforms. You use social sharing buttons at your own discretion and accept that doing so may publish content to your social media profile feed or page.
